Series' I Have Recently Finished...

and am anxiously awaiting the next installments for...
1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians
I like these books because they have Greek mythology in them, which I still have a place in my heart for, and they are very well written. Appropriate for the younger age they are intended for but still very entertaining and enjoyable for myself. The last installment comes out on hardback May 5, 2009. Although I own the first three (and soon to own the fourth) in paperback, I will purchase this book in hardback to have closure. Then I will probably sell it or return it (just kidding) and buy it when it comes out in paperback. I hate mismatched bindings in series.

2. The Immortal Nicolas Flamel
These books are great! They too have a mixture of present and past while fighting for the future. I think these books are richer in detail and plot. They are a little darker than the Percy Jackson books but still appropriate for their intended audience. Mr. Scott includes Greek mythology along with historical events that I would have studied if I ever paid attention in History class and several plots, which I personally enjoy.
