Let's see...where to begin...

1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Finished it - loved it!!! There was a little bit of everything except curse words, non-war related violence, or sex (well, I think one kiss but, eh). I have them all and will probably read them over and over.

2. The Immortal Nicolas Flamel
Got the third installment - losing its excitement. I think he's just trying to keep the books long and he's running out of steam toward the end. However, all the contents in the book were pertinent and necessary so thanks Michael Scott for sparing me a ton of side plots.

3. 100 Cupboards
This is the first book in a series that I just found at Borders and am really glad I picked it up. It's about a boy who has to move in with some obscure relatives and through a series of events, finds that the plastered wall behind his bedroom contains 99 cupboard doors. I know the title is "100 Cupboards" but I can't tell you about the 100th cupboard lest you decide to read it and I ruin some of the magic for you.

4. Pride and Prejudice
I am still wading through the Jane Austen classic but am finding myself as pleased with the movie as I am with the book. This could largely be in part because without the movie I wouldn't be able to tell all the Bennet sisters apart. Kudos, Ms. Austen, you still have my attention even though it's not really a page turner for me.

5. Land of the Lost
I was surpised to find Sir Aurthur Conan Doyle as credited to writing anything other than a Sherlock Holmes book but am glad I did. Although this book is about a lost land, the beginning is quite intriguing and seemingly irrelevant...I'm interested to see how he brings it all together.
